A Humble Beginning in 1989

Our story begins in 1989, when two sisters from Thailand, both immigrants with a passion for cooking, decided to share their love for authentic Thai food with the people of Las Vegas. They opened the doors of OCHA THAI CUISINE in downtown Las Vegas, bringing with them traditional recipes and a deep-rooted commitment to quality.

Four Generations of Culinary Excellence

Now, four generations later, our family continues to uphold the legacy started by those two pioneering sisters. Our dedication to serving authentic Thai cuisine has remained unwavering, and we take pride in preserving the traditional flavors and techniques that have been passed down through the years.

The Heart of Downtown Las Vegas

Since our inception, we have always been located in downtown Las Vegas, a vibrant and dynamic area that perfectly complements the rich and flavorful dishes we serve. In 1995, our current location was part of what was known as Las Vegas' small Thai Town, a bustling community that celebrated Thai culture and cuisine.

Adapting to Change

The events of 9/11 brought significant changes to our community and our restaurant. We had to move to a smaller location to navigate the challenging times. Despite the obstacles, our commitment to serving authentic Thai food never wavered. In 2014, we returned to our beloved original location, bringing with us the same cherished recipes and a renewed sense of purpose.

Our Signature Dishes

Our menu at OCHA THAI CUISINE features a variety of authentic Thai dishes that have become favorites among our patrons. Some of our signature dishes include:

Tom Yum Seafood: A spicy and sour soup with fresh seafood, infused with lemongrass, lime leaves, and chili.
Pad Thai: Stir-fried rice noodles with tofu, shrimp, eggs, and a perfect balance of tamarind and fish sauce.
Tom Kha Shrimp: A creamy coconut soup with shrimp, flavored with galangal, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves.
Mint Chicken (Kra Pow Kai): Stir-fried chicken with fresh mint leaves, garlic, and chili, offering a burst of aromatic flavors.
Beef Jerky: Our number one dish, marinated to perfection and served with a tangy dipping sauce.
Stuffed Chicken Wings: A delightful appetizer featuring chicken wings stuffed with a savory filling.
